Our beloved staff is like family, both to each other and to the residents of Penobscot County. We all work hard and show up for our community and animals! We love every pet who comes through our door and care for them as we would our own. You may know some of us already, but for those who aren't familiar, don't be shy! We don't bite and neither do (most of) our furry friends.
President
Sarah Stuart
Sarah is our esteemed president, an animal lover who shares her kindness with everyone she meets. Whether you have two legs or four, she always does her best to provide opportunities for a better life. Or at the very least, brighten up your day with good conversation.
Manager
Meg Crocker-Curtis
Meg is our most compassionate animal handler, who's been with us for over 29 years. Her unconditional love for all animals leads the team by example. The structure, care, and animal expertise she provides the Humane Society, makes everyone who walks through our doors feel like family.
Co-Manager
Mary Curtis
Mary is our most reliable animal handler, known best for her expertise in animal care, body language, and how to best meet any creatures needs. She is also the Burlington ACO, and is always ready to problem-solve, both at the Humane Society and out in the field.
Small Animal/ Kennel
Emily Wotton
Emily is always ready to help! Emily is our rodent lady and is well versed in rodent behavior. She loves and cares for whatever comes through the door!

Domonique McMullin
Domonique or, "Dommie," is one of our greatest supports. She works closely with our resident felines and brightens up the staff's day from the moment she walks in the building.

Andrea Millette
Andrea, or "Andy", is the newest member of our team. Andy works with the cats a couple days a week. Her greatest strength is her patience with the cats who need it the most.
